That is me when it comes to Mike's case. I will not QUIT and never will, I will give all I can and have!, I will follow ever lead and go down ever rabbit hole till I find the the person who kidnapped and murdered Jerry "Mike" Michael Bayles!
I have had a deep interest in this case, this kid, this senseless crime since the day it happened.
I may piss people off, I may pester and hound them for information, spend my time, my money. But I am resolved. I swore on Mike's grave, "I will not quite."
What I do is for Mike, not myself.

"Mike was my best friend, I lived at XXX W. Jackson St. and he lived in the other side of the double XXX. We were in the same 5th grade class at school Mrs. Shiffman's at school 50. We did everything together, I have been praying for 45 years someone would be charged with this crime! This has haunted me my whole life I remember sitting on the stairs crying afraid to go to bed afraid that I was next. I was over protective of my own children would not let them go off anywhere with out me. You never know how something can affect your life! If this man did this over a simple spilled cup of coffee I surely hope he gets what he has coming when he meets his maker. Thank you Mr. Ott for keeping this going I have often thought who could I contact to make them work on this old case. Mike deserves justice!"
Billy B. (Former Friend and Classmate)
"This was my best friend at school 50 before he was murdered.
Been tracking this case for 45 years."
Lela N. (Cousin)
"I was about 6 when he was killed. I remember Mike very well, you see Mike was my hero when I Was in kindergarten. Aunt Fanny & Uncle Jerry and there kids lived with my family for a while in Colorado. I would get beat up ever day on my way home at noon from school. Mike found out about it and started walking me to school in the morning then he would take his lunch break to walk me home so I was safe. I was in love with my cousin. They didn't stay vary long before going back to Indiana, Mike was killed not long after that. I want everyone to know that Mike was a hero to a little girl and is still looked at as a hero by that same girl. Years latter Aunt Fanny and Uncle Jerry moved in with us again in Colorado and I spoke to my Aunt about Mike. She was surprised I remembered Mike. Once again they went back to Indiana but on a bus and could only take a few things, she could not take a picture of Jesus had back with her. She asked if she could leave it with me cause it was Mikes favorite picture and she knew I would take care of it. I still have it and I think of Mike ever time I look at it. Mike was loved and is still loved by his family."
